He was a true Karmayogi. He left his higher studies to join freedom struggle. During 1942 Movement he was jailed for more than three years in which he lost his eye-sight because of brutal Lathi charge in jail. After Independence, he concentrated his energy, vision and ideas on the programmes of constructive nation building. In pursuance of his mission, he chose to uplift the educational standard of society. After strenuous efforts, he sowed the seeds of success by founding Jai Prakash Mahila College in the year 1955, which was the first Woman's College in the district. The college is now a constituent unit of J.P University, Saran. The second outcome of his efforts was Brajkishore kindergarten, though which he made a novel experimentation with the idea of educating tiny-tots while playing. This pioneer institution was established on 15th Aug. 1957 to mark the centenary celebration of the First War of Indian Independence of 1857. He believed in the principle of Karmayoga with full dedication, honesty and equanimity. He worked silently and relentlessly to achieve his goats. With the passage of time his dedication to serve the society, went from strength to strength. As a result of this, he purchased more than three acres of land to the north of Chapra by- pass and decided to establish a Higher Secondary. School i.e. C.C.S., which is now affiliated to C.B.S.E., Delhi, under the aegis of Brajkishore Memorial Trust. As a sequel to this, he laid the foundation stone of the new building on the 19th April, 2000. So far sixty rooms along with Labs have been constructed in the Campus. A new administrative block has been added to facilitate the administration process and parents/guardians.

To encourage sports and games in the district he donated two running trophies to “District Inter-School Cricket Tournament”. He played a major role in the establishment of Phani Bhushan Dance and Music Academy and “Ayurvedic College” at Chapra For the continuous progress of his mission of mass education he handed over the torch of light to the school family. The trusted members of this family are working with a missionary zeal to fulfil the great ambitions of the honourable founder secretary.
