About Chapra Central School
Chapra Central School was founded by Late K.P Shrivastava, an eminent freedom fighter, a
dedicated social worker and a committed educationist of Bihar in the year 1994 to provide
secondary and higher secondary level education to the children of Chapra. It was the dream
of K.P. Shrivastava, the founder secretary, to make it a seat of learning and service at par with
the best ones of the country.
The institution is sponsored by Braj Kishore Memorial Trust which stands as the befitting
memorial to the great leader and maker of modern Bihar. The school has its own managing
committee consisting of eminent persons, academicians and renowned personalities of this
country. With a modest beginning in 1994 it has come a long way by getting C.B.S.E. affiliation
upto secondary level in the year 2002 and +2 Level affiliation in the year 2009.
The education scenario of our country is going through a very interesting phase. After 50 years
of independent thinking, we have now reached a state wherein, we can shed the Macaulay
system of education and develop an indigenous curriculum. It will be a good combination of
our values and technological advances to suit the indigenous requirements the "Indocentric"
education system coupled with global influences will usher our country into a new era. The
student friendly interactive education will give a new dimensionto our academic world. It will
certainly produce good and responsible citizens who are responsive and alive to the need of
the country. Macualay's education system was deliberately created to produce 'babus' of
servile nature, whereas, the new education system will produce Indians who will be proud of
their ancestry and will command self-respect and confidence at their will.
In this context, Chapra Central School is certainly an ideal for the society, because the
institution is being run by educationists and persons of academic pursuit. The mission of the
institution is to provide the best possible infrastructure and education of high standard to our
students, so that, they can excel in every walk of life. We need and solicit the fullest
cooperation of our esteemed guardians to fulfil this task.
